Apple has just launched Airtags out of nowhere. While everyone expected the launch of new iPad Pro, new iMac powered by Apple’s M1 chip, Apple has also launched first of it's kind Airtags and a new Apple TV box with 120Hz support along with new hardware.
These were launched in Apple's Spring loaded event which was aired in late April this year.
Don't lose your things anymore!

Interested buyers can order a single AirTag in India via apple.com for ₹3,190 via while a pack of four costs ₹10,900.
Users can also buy Apple-designed AirTag accessories including the Leather Key Ring in Saddle Brown, (PRODUCT) RED, and Baltic Blue
for ₹3,590. The Leather Loop in Saddle Brown and (PRODUCT) RED variants, on the other hand, are available for ₹3,990.
Buyers can also get the AirTags engraved with numbers, text and emojis while purchasing from apple.com or the Apple Store app for free.
How does it work?
As far as finding an object is concerned, Apple says that if a user misplaces their item and it is within Bluetooth range, they can use the Find My app to play a sound from the AirTag to help locate it.
Users can also ask Siri to find their item. However, if the AirTag is out of Bluetooth range, the Find My network can help track it down. It uses a billion Apple devices to detect Bluetooth signals from a lost AirTag
and relay the location back to its owner.
AirTag works with iPhone or iPod Touch running iOS 14.5 or later, or iPad running iPadOS 14.5 or later.
Are Airtags compatible with my mobile?
iPhones:
A surprising number of iPhones will work with Apple AirTags when they launch, though not all options will be as good as others. For the best experience you’ll need a device with a U1 Ultra Wideband chip,
which is able to more accurately determine the distance and direction of signals coming from the AirTag. Those are:
►iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max
►iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max
However, any iPhone running iOS 14 should be able to update to iOS 14.5 and will have AirTag compatibility. So you should be covered as long as you’re using one of the following (but your experience may not be as good):
►iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone SE (first generation)
►iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus
►iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X
►iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR
►iPhone SE (second generation)

Android:
AirTags won’t work out of the box with an Android device, nor can you use an Android device in lieu of an iPhone with one. Instead, it will only work with Android devices equipped with NFC and only communicate when the AirTags are in Lost Mode.
First, you’ll need to use your iPhone to activate Lost Mode, which is supposed to show you on a map where your AirTag has wandered off to. Then if someone with an Android device finds your lost AirTag, they can hold it up to their NFC-equipped phone and get details on how to contact you. They’ll only be able to get details if the Lost Mode is activated, which should help with privacy concerns.
Bottomline:
Should you really buy Airtags?
If you are into Apple Ecosystem and are so bad with misplacing your things around the house, Airtags are way to go!
